Rónán Mac Con Iomaire has just published an excellent book titled An Ghluaiseacht that tells the story of Gluaiseacht Cearta Sibhialta na Gaeltachta (the Gaeltacht Civil Rights Movement). The book details the role played by Desmond Fennell, who also features on the cover (second from left) in a march from Carna to Bearna that took place in 1974.
